Poutine at Bofinger in downtown Montreal certainly looks a lot saucier and when you grab a bite you soon find it is a lot saucier than La Banquise.
To make the tastings fair we ordered a plain poutine here and just its appearance is a lot different. You can see the chips drenched in sauce and the cheese melting within the poutine rather than just sitting on top. The chips were good quality, the cheese soft and gooey and the sauce, oh the sauce! It had a spicy twang to it that put the poutine at La Banquise to shame!
So far, Bofinger gets my vote for poutine. And the atmosphere is great too!
